The Mission of CASPolska

Our Association participates actively in activities aimed at the accomplishment of our goal: to facilitate access to information regarding the treatment of oncological diseases. In order to accomplish the goal referred to above, within the framework of the project entitled "Transparency of Drugs Reimbursement in Poland.Oncology", which is co-financed by the European Union Fund, we have created a database of Directives and Clinical and Reimbursement Recommendations (WiRKliR). The WiRKliR database is accessible to general public.

The Mission of CASPolska is to provide assistance in acquiring the ability to make a.critical assessment of scientific data and to make practical use of the conclusions drawn based on the data. In other words, the association's goal is to teach Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) to people who either take decisions regarding health care, or who influence the decision-making process in this realm. The mission of CASPolska is to disseminate not only theoretical knowledge, but also, and above all, those skills which are necessary in everyday practice. We strive to create  a.multidisciplinary network, which provides support to employees, by teaching them the ability to make a critical assessment.

The goal of CASPolska is also to support autonomous organisations which conduct local training workshops on Evidence Based Medicine. Together with our partners from Leonardo da Vince programme we publicise information, current materials and didactic methods at the basic level, which are oriented to both professionals and all individuals who are deeply interested in this topic.

At the basis of CASPolska operations lies a motivation to augment the patients' awareness level as regards the rights granted to them, including the execution of these rights, as the level at which patients' rights are executed is a real indicator of the advancement of the citizens' society.

CASPolska is a non-profit organisation whose employees promote the ability to explore, critically assess and act based on the outcomes of scientific research. Such an attitude is referred to as EBM (Evidence Based Medicine). The aim of EBM is a precise and transparent documentation process, whose interference in the realm of health care is useful to the highest possible degree (effective), and leads to the most efficient use of resources allocated to health care (profitability).
